Britain will ban foreigners who refuse to pay for treatments in NHS hospitals. Overseas patients who owe more than 1,000pounds for treatment will not be allowed back in Britain until they pay up.
Officials have decided to take this action, since NHS is a National Health Service and not an international one. With this action the Government can save huge amount as treating non-EU patients costs the NHS millions per year. However, if overseas patients require any emergency treatment it will be provided free of cost.
AdvertisementRules that ascertain how long people need to stay in UK to be eligible for free treatment will be made stricter. Before an entry visa is granted to non-EU migrants they will have to prove that they have health insurance.
