New Mums Under Pressure to Lose Pregnancy Weight
A survey by the Deakin University has found that many new mums are under huge pressure to lose the unwanted pounds gained during pregnancy. Most of this pressure comes from husbands and mothers, the study found.

The researchers said that the situation was not being helped by celeb mums like Elle Macpherson, Angelina Jolie and Jessica Alba who appear to quickly lose the pregnancy pounds.

"People are obsessed with celebrity babies and celebrity pregnancies," said researcher Lucia Bongiorno.

Pregnant television personality Toni Pearen said weight was something she was not thinking about at the moment. "I think the pressure should be taken off new mums to look like Victoria Beckham. Everyone is so different, that is what I have discovered - some people put on weight in different areas," she added.
