A new dental mouthguard from Pure Power Edge is being
marketed with the hype that it will boost performance in athletes.
The makers of the PPE are basing their boast on the
principle that jaw alignment is very important to the body. Experts contend
that the brain focuses half its energy on head and neck and Jaw position.
By using a strong mouthguard that can lock the jaw in an
ideal position, the brain can focus on the field as it were. The mouthguard is
fabricated by first using a computer to find the ideal jaw position.
Thereafter bite registration is taken and then the details are sent to the lab. The mouthguard will be ready in 10 days time.
