National Exhibition of Herbal Medicines Organised in Kashmir
Named Arogya, the exhibition is jointly organized by the Jammu and Kashmir Government and the Federation of Indian Chambers of Commerce and Industry (FICCI).
Among the participants of the exhibition are the manufacturers of drugs, equipment manufacturing industries, eminent publishers and booksellers.
Systems and manufacturers of natural health foods, research institute and promoters of health tourism and practitioners of AYUSH system are taking part in the exhibition.
The participants hoped that the exhibition should popularise the Indian System of Medicine (ISM) method of treatment among the masses of the State.
Organiser of the exhibition, Parveen Kumar Mittal said that from this exhibition they hoped that people would throng this exhibition in large numbers and gain benefit out of it.
"We are hoping that people come here in large numbers and gain benefit out of it. There are free clinics, exhibition of industry stake holders plus there are yoga camps which will demonstrate all through the day," said Mittal.
Meanwhile, Mushtaq a doctor of the ISM, said that from this exhibition people will come to know about the advantages and disadvantages of the ISM.
"People have come to know everything about Allopathy and Unanipathy from this exhibition. What are the advantages and disadvantages of their medicines," said Mushtaq.
Live yoga demonstrations camps, which were held in the exhibitions, made the public aware of the benefits of such treatments.
