NRI Doc Receives Highest Compensation of 1.77 Crore for Medical Negligence
A compensation of Rs.1.77 crore, the highest so far in Indian medico-legal history, has been awarded by The National Consumer Disputes Redressal Commission (NCDRC) against Kolkata's AMRI hospital and three well-known doctors for medical negligence which caused the death of Anuradha Saha , wife of an Indian American doctor from Ohio in 1998.
Dr Kunal Saha from Ohio has been fighting this battle relentlessly since 1998 against medical corruption in India after he lost his wife due to sheer medical negligence.

The supreme court had found three doctors responsible for Anuradha’s death.
