Mischa Barton has been sentenced to three years of unsupervised probation after she accepted a plea deal in her DUI case.
And after Barton pleaded no contest to drunken driving, a charge of marijuana possession on the 22-year-old actress was dismissed, and another for driving with an invalid license was reduced to an infraction.
The former O.C. star has also been ordered to complete a three-month alcohol-education class and pay a fine of approximately 2,000 dollars, reports People.
Barton was not present for the hearing but her attorney, Anthony V. Salerno, was there to represent the actress.
In a statement released after the hearing, the lawyer said." The DAs were very fair in handling this case. Mischa's glad the case has been resolved."
"Ms. Barton understands the seriousness of this situation and assumes full responsibility for her actions. She and I are grateful to the Court and the District Attorney's Office for the prompt and respectful resolution of the case," he added.
