Michael Douglas Haunted By "Nightmares Of Knee Replacement"

by Tanya Thomas on Sep 16 2009 9:55 AM

In hindsight, Michael Douglas wishes he had taken anaesthesia during his knee replacement surgery. The reason - the nightmares of the operation still haunt him.

Contactmusic quoted him as saying: "I stayed up for the operation... They gave me a local epidural.

"The first thing you notice is there's not a lot of instruments around - there's an electric saw and a big ball-peen hammer."

The Oscar winning actor is on the road to recovery and is feeling a lot better with the new knee, although he is still in pain.
