A recent survey carried out by the Australian Bureau of Statistics (ABS) has found that more than three-fourths of Australians over 18 years of age are satisfied with their lives.
The survey was carried out as part of the ABS 2010 General Social Survey which was released on Friday.
The survey found that 78 percent of Australians over 18 years of age were satisfied with 43 percent were "pleased" or "delighted".
The report also revealed that those who were either separated or divorced were less likely to be happy when compared to those who were either married, widowed or were never married. Over 78 percent of those who were in regular contact with their friends or relatives outside their immediate household were happy compared to just 28 percent of those who did not have any friends outside their household.
