'Lunchtime Facelift' Catching Up in LA

by Tanya Thomas on Jun 22 2010 11:19 AM

A one-hour facelift - that's what a new cosmetic procedure is promising LA women.
The 5,000pound op is done under local anaesthetic and women who've undergone the procedure claim it is as easy as having a hair-do.

The Simoni Lift, named after its inventor, Beverly Hills-based cosmetic surgeon, Dr Payman Simoni, is the hottest new cosmetic surgery trend in LA.

"You will only need local anaesthesia, which is a relatively painless local injection," The News of the World quoted Dr Simoni, as saying.

He added: "Patients have a safer procedure and are able to go home right after.

"The lift removes excess skin and fat from the face and neck area through well planned incisions that start in the hairline and run down in front of the ear, up behind the ear."

Fitness instructor Gina Rolow, 51, who went under the knife while completely conscious and sitting in a chair, said: "In the space of an hour I'd probably dropped about ten years, yet I'd been awake the whole time.

"My daughter literally fainted when she saw the results.

"It was like getting a haircut or going to the dentist."
