Johns Hopkins Hospital Received
The Johns Hopkins Hospital has again received the American Alliance of Healthcare Providers' (AAHP) American Hospital of Choice Award.

The award is made for excellence in four areas of a patient's experience with a hospital: security, comfort, convenience, and caring. JHH, the only hospital in Maryland to win this year's award. Hopkins has been selected for the award each year since its inception in 2002.

Awards are determined by an AAHP staff review of the Hospital of Choice Awards application submitted by individual hospitals and phone surveys of hospital staff, as well as reviews of hospitals' Web sites, news releases, and announcements.

According to the AAHP, its American Hospital of Choice Award is "designed to recognize hospitals that have a proven track record in successfully meeting or exceeding the expectations of their patients and have earned the respect and admiration of the physicians who refer their clients."
