Jan 3rd is Tuesday But u mention that us wrongly as Monday..
Eg: this is line from your Post

All dates in this news apply to the West. Western countries like the US are behind Asia by a day. The dates are correct for Western timezone, from where this news originates.

k, But all others day and months are macthing with our calender only this Jan 3rd in diffrent why, Even that december 4 sunday,march and august are correct. Only we have time and date is differents between western and asian.how jan 3 comes on monday in US and tuesday in asia. only delay is there for us 6th jan friday 10am means there 5th jan thursda 10:30pm.
