Prison authorities warned Paris Hilton to be prepared for an intravenous drip if she continued to refuse prison food, as the hotel heiress' health began to worry them.
As soon as the socialite was transferred back to the LA prison after correctional treatment for her medical condition, the socialite turned jailbird refused to eat.
According to a source, Hilton also lost about 5 lbs in one week and doctors were worried because she seemed very thin'. "After she was transferred back, Paris refused to eat. Staff became worried as she seems very thin with her bones poking out. She was also very weak and lethargic," the Sun quoted the inmate, as saying.
"They threatened to put her on an intravenous drip to rehydrate her and give her some nourishment unless she started eating," the inmate added.
The inmate also said that since then Hilton has been eating jail food, but she is being monitored by doctors. "She has since managed to get a little food down, but doctors are closely monitoring her," the source said.
The source said that Hilton is looking really 'pale', and that she is not allowed to wear any make-up. The 26-year-old has been washing her hair with soap, which has made it 'matted' and 'frizzy'.
"Paris looks very pale. She is not allowed to wear make-up and her hair is matted and frizzy from washing it with soap as there's no shampoo," the source said.
