An Iraqi bank has inaugurated the country's first branch entirely dedicated to and operated by women. Even the bank chief cannot enter his branch in Najaf, the holy Shiite Muslim city which is host to this women's empowerment phenomenon of the Muslim world.
Abdel Razzaq Mansur, the chief executive of Babylon Bank, said the branch which opened on Sunday had so far worked with 50 clients and expected to be dealing with about 200 within a year.
