Internet Gambling the Worst, Says Study
A new study has found that people who gamble online are the worst offenders and are likely to be addicted to it. In contrast, just 0.5% of those who gambled offline were considered to be dangerous.

Researchers at Nottingham Trent University said that 5% of those who gambled on the net were addicted, meaning that online gambling can be 10 times more addictive than the offline one.

Furthermore, they also found that online gamblers were more likely to be single, male, young and liked to drink and smoke beyond limits.

Ever since the Labour Government relaxed the rules on advertising for web gaming sites, internet gambling has increased, the opposition Conservative Party claimed earlier this year and this study seems to reinforce that perception.
