SSN's Medical Director Harsha Bhattacharjee said that Goswami had pledged to donate her eyes in 2009, "Following her death yesterday, the corneas were extracted by a team of doctors from Sri Sankardeva Nethralaya," he added.

Goswami's corneas were harvested after being found fit for implantation. These corneas are likely to be implanted in a recipient in the next four days.
