Hopes Dim in Search for Boy Who Slipped Down Storm Water Drain
Search operations continued for 18 month old Vijay, who slipped into a storm water drain at RR Layout, BTM 4th Stage and went missing. While 170 personnel continued to search the area, hopes of his survival have dimmed to a large extent although his parents Lakshmi and Varadaraj have not given up hope.

Joint commissioner Shivabasavaiah visited the area and blamed the developer of the storm water drain for this incident. However residents in the area blame the BBMP for the situation.

"Every inch of the drain is being searched. The fire personnel and engineering department of the BBMP are at the site from day one and doing their best to trace the boy,'' Shivabasavaiah said.

Meanwhile a case of criminal negligence has been booked against one Ravi Reddy, who is responsible for the development of the area.
