Val Thomas’, 59 from West Virginia is alive after experiencing a miracle, baffling doctors who have failed to find answers in medicine.

Two heart attacks followed by a complete cessation of the heart and no brain activity for close to 17 hours, Val Thomas woke up alive after courting death at close quarters. For this, she has found herself a permanent place in the annals of medical history.

After Thomas’ heart ceased and her pulse had stopped, she was put on to a respiratory machine. Her son Jim said, “Her skin had already started to harden and her fingers curled. Death had set in.”

The tubes were removed and the family began to bid a final goodbye. However, the ventilator was still on as family was seriously considering organ donation.

In the meantime, miracle of miracles, Thomas woke up and started talking to a perplexed and profusely apologetic nurse, saying, ‘That’s OK, honey, that’s OK.’

Later, Val Thomas was the taken to the Cleveland Clinic to check for anomalies, in a bid to explain the occurrence in medical terms. Doctors could find nothing wrong with her.

“I know God has something in store for me, another purpose,” Val Thomas said. “I don’t know what it is, but I’m sure he’ll tell me.”
