A 13-year-old Pennsylvania boy is suing a private residential school in Hershey for discrimination after it refused to admit him because he is HIV positive. The boy alleged that the boarding school 'violated multiple anti-discrimination laws that protect the rights of people with HIV to remain free from unwarranted discrimination'.

Milton Hershey School authorities said that they were trying to protect other students when it denied admission to the HIV-positive teenager.

The AIDS Law Project of Pennsylvania has filed a lawsuit on behalf of the unidentified boy in US District Court in Philadelphia, claiming that the School for disadvantaged students violated the Americans with Disabilities Act.
