Following the approval of its biggest research grant ever, the Chartered Society of Physiotherapists said that new research will vastly improve the field of physiotherapy in the near future.

Professor Suzanne McDonough, chair of the Chartered Society of Physiotherapist's Charitable Trust Scientific Panel said that the decision for the society's approval of the Ģ249,999 grant to Nicola Walsh, senior lecturer at the University of the West of England will go a long way in improving physiotherapy.

"The Scientific Panel were impressed with the overall presentation and attention to detail; they especially highlighted the strength of the mixed methods approach, the statistical analysis plan and the excellent service user involvement", she added.
