These findings were reached after a comprehensive study conducted by the scientists at the University of Wisconsin at Madison. These researchers entered data on climate-sensitive diseases into mapping software and reached their conclusions. The WHO data also shows that the worst affected by the climate change are the poor countries, who are not responsible for the phenomenon in any way. The study's lead author, Jonathan Patz, a professor at the university's Gaylord Nelson Institute for Environmental Studies was empathic is stating that the climate change affects those nations that have played a negligible part in inducing the change, Those most vulnerable to climate change are not the ones responsible for causing it. Our energy-consumptive lifestyles are having lethal impacts on other people around the world, especially the poor, he said.

The areas identified as being most vulnerable for climate change and its related illnesses are the Asian and South American Pacific coasts, as well as the Indian Ocean coast and sub-Saharan Africa. Climate change makes it even more important to combat diseases of the poor, many of which are highly climate-sensitive,said Diarmid Campbell-Lendrum, a scientist at WHO's Department of Protection of the Human Environment and co-author of the Nature report.
