Glass Wins As Preferred Casing For Wine, Beer Despite Environmental Concerns
Glass bottles seem to be the preferred way to case wine and beer than cans and boxes. At least, that's what the drinkers say.

The poll conducted by InSites Consulting found that 94 percent of consumers would rather have their wine from a bottle, and a majority of beer drinkers favoured bottles to cans, reports the Scotsman.

In recent years, manufacturers have been encouraged to cut down on glass to reduce the carbon emissions produced from shipping heavy packaging around the world.

Other products, which consumers preferred to come in glass, were spreads, baby food, spirits, and condiments.
