Fallen football legend Paul Gascoigne a.k.a. Gazza is being helped by a friend of George Best in his battle against his alcohol addiction.
He has checked into Champneys Forest Mere health farm for Christmas, and developed friendship with guest liaison boss Mavis Baird, 71.
Baird was close to alcoholic footballer George Best, who moved into the spa resort at Liphook, Hants, before dying in 2005.
If reports are to be believed Gazza is "doing well", and has stayed clear-headed in the company of Baird.
According to the footballer's pals, he is showing determination towards getting rid of alcoholism and leading a healthy life.
"By staying away from pubs at Christmas he is showing he's serious," the Sun quoted a pal as saying.
