GM Rice Pulled from NZ Markets
The Food Safety Authority in New Zealand has decided to withdraw an imported rice product from the markets as it contains GM rice, which is not approved for sale in the country.

As yet there are no health concerns with the Bt63 variety, but the FSA said the product had not undergone safety assessment. The importer has also started to voluntarily remove any of the remaining products on the market.
