Finally Pictorial Warnings on Tobacco Products
The Health Department is finally implementing the directive of having pictorial warnings on all tobacco products after this year's 'No Tobacco Day' on May 31.

"The packaging of every tobacco product may it be beedi, cigarette or chewing tobacco should display the warning. The Customs and Central Excise could take action against the violators," said Dr Prakash, nodal officer of State Anti-Tobacco Cell

The Center has issued directives to the state departments to monitor products released after May 31. If they do not carry pictorial warnings, then the state has the liberty to file charges against them.
