Federal Government Looks at Guidelines for Health Apps

The Federal government is looking to enforce some guidelines to enhance the safety of mobile health applications for smart phones and tablet computers. Recently, the FDA has made available detailed guidelines particularly for those health applications which can be hazardous to patients if they fail to work appropriately.

Public opinion will be sought by the FDA so that the guidelines can be tweaked before making the recommendations final.
