Many studies have suggested that exercise is good both for the mother and the baby and this adage has to be followed religiously during pregnancy so as to ensure the optimal health for a pregnant women.
However there are some things that you must not overdo during pregnancy. Tight-fitting clothes are an absolute no-no. They stop the free flow of air to your lungs and could endanger the health of the fetus.
Another thing is to consult your doctor if you feel any discomfort during exercise. You must stop all activities immediately and seek advice.
Exercises like deep knee bends, lunges or full sit-ups must be avoided. Drink plenty of water at all times.
