A paedophile royal butler who took one of his victims to tea with the Queen Mother has been jailed for a minimum of six years.
Paul Kidd, 55, was described as "a brilliant groomer" by police after he admitted a string of sex offences against young boys.
He started grooming one of the boys who was aged 12 and a patient on a hospital ward where he worked as a trainee nurse. Another victim was 14 when he first spoke to Kidd on a CB radio.
Kidd was senior footman to the Queen Mother from 1979 to 1984 and previously worked as a royal butler to The Queen from 1977.
"You influenced your victims to such an extent they were under your spell. They would do anything you asked them to do. You are dangerous and a risk to young people," the Sun quoted Judge Mushtaq Khokhar, as saying.
The paedophile was caught after one of three kids he abused read a newspaper interview he gave on the tenth anniversary of Princess Diana's death.
On Kidd's computer, police found 18,019 images of unknown children and a video of him abusing another youngster.
