 Dubai Chamber Launches Comprehensive Health Insurance for Members
As part of its continued efforts to provide a value-added service to the business community, Dubai Chamber of Commerce and Industry, in partnership with NGI (National General Insurance), has launched an exclusive health insurance scheme for its members.
Pulse Medical Insurance provides a comprehensive health insurance package at a reasonable cost. It is available exclusively for Dubai Chamber members, their dependants and employees and includes 100% in-patient coverage, maternity cover and family income protection up to Dhs 50,000.

In his opening speech Mr. Atiq Juma Nasib, Senior Director, Commercial Services Sector, Dubai Chamber, said, "This project is a first of its kind for Dubai Chamber and we are delighted to be offering such a value-added service to the business community. As a business facilitator, Dubai Chamber's top priority is to support the development of business and allow companies to prosper. Dubai Chamber invests many resources in offering valuable services to enhance the competitiveness of its members, which now number more than 120,000. The idea behind the launch was to provide Dubai Chamber members a cost effective and comprehensive health insurance package at a reasonable cost and provide them with the peace of mind in case of illness or accident at the workplace.

He added that this annual insurance package is available to Dubai Chamber members aged up to 65 years, irrespective of their companies' size and turnover and there is no limit on the number of cards one company can purchase. There are no preconditions, no medical tests required, and there are no salary limits for employees to be able to obtain the health cards.

Companies can apply for Pulse online, through a quick, easy and completely secure, process. Two levels of cover are available; Pulse, which provides UAE cover only for Dhs 695 per annum, and Pulse Plus, which covers the UAE, Middle East and Sub Asian countries for Dhs 795 per annum. Applications can be submitted on Dubai Chamber's website www.dubaichamber.com and the cards collected from Dubai Chamber's head office.

The annual aggregate limit of insurance is Dhs 100,000 and Dhs 150,000 for the Pulse and Pulse Plus policies respectively.
