AMY WINEHOUSE's jailbird hubby lied that he tried to kill himself in prison, The Sun can reveal.
In an extraordinary phone call, BLAKE FIELDER-CIIVIL told Amy he was found unconscious in his cell - after failing to hang himself with a piece of clothing tied to his bed.
But Friday's "confession" was a cruel falsehood that left the 24-year-old Rehab singer distraught and in tears.
News of Amy's husband Blake's latest suicide stunt comes after a note that emerged at the weekend, revealing his fear that Amy will leave him.
She sobbed to pals that her husband - awaiting trial for alleged assault and perverting justice - had tried to kill himself. But they persuaded her that she would have been informed by the prison if the suicide bid was real.
A pal of Amy's said: "Blake told Amy he had hanged himself in his cell. Now it seems it didn't happen and she's asking why he'd tell such an awful lie."
