Declared ‘Still Born’ Yet Found ‘alive’ Baby Boy Battles for Life.

There is no reprieve yet, for the parents of the ‘stillborn’ baby boy who was found to be alive few hours after birth. The baby boy was shifted from Belle vue clinic to The Calcutta Medical Research Institute (CMRI), in a serious condition. The baby’s condition is still very serious and he is on life support system.

The doctors at the Institute are unhappy with the baby’s urine output. The parents are extremely unhappy with the hospital where the child was declared still born and have blamed the hospital of medical negligence.

Manas Kumar Das, the father of the baby said, “We have got the birth certificate from the Belle Vue clinic and will initiate legal action against the clinic for its medical negligence on Friday.”

Belle Vue clinic authorities have denied any reference to medical negligence on their part. Explaining the phenomenon in medical terms, doctors have labeled it as a case of ‘suspended animation’ which could make the baby irresponsive to medical treatment, though the baby is alive.

An internal investigation has begun to uncover the truth.
