 Curcumin may Help Ward Off Colon Cancer and Psoriasis
Curcumin, the active ingredient found in turmeric, may help ward off diseases like cancer, psoriasis and Alzheimer's disease. Researchers are now engaged in making capsules of this ingredient so that it may not get destroyed in the gastrointestinal system and be made available for use in the body.

Wiriting in the ACS' Journal of Agricultural and Food Chemistry, a bi-weekly publication, the researchers said that cucumin's ability to fight colon cancer, psoriasis, and Alzheimer's disease is being studied.

Furthermore encapsulating curcumin boosted its levels in the body and more of this powerful antioxidant was available in the blood.
