Court Permits Payment for Bone Marrow Donors

According to a recent ruling by an appeals court, those who donate bone marrow through a new and less invasive technology can receive payment.

The earlier law did not permit payment for bone marrow and organs.
 Court Permits Payment for Bone Marrow Donors

A three-judge panel of the 9th U.S. Circuit Court of Appeals in California said that donating bone marrow is very much like donating blood plasma and therefore the same rules of organ donation are not applicable here.
