Actress Farrah Fawcett has stopped receiving treatment for anal cancer and her condition remains stable.

The former Charlie's Angels star was diagnosed with the disease back in 2006, and it has since spread to her liver.

"Ms. Fawcett's condition has not changed. She is stable and remains under treatment by her doctor," Fox News quoted a rep for Fawcett's longtime companion Ryan O'Neal as telling Tarts.

The 62-year-old was previously praised by her doctor for her courage and clear thinking while battling cancer.

Meanwhile, her close friends and family have been keeping their fingers crossed and hoping for a miracle.

O'Neal recently said: "I'd like her to come to and come back, that's what I'd like."

Fawcett was diagnosed with anal cancer in September 2006.

After four months, she declared herself cancer-free, only to have the disease return in May 2007.

She travelled to Germany for alternative treatment and documented her experiences, footage of which she shared with entertainment television shows in early 2008.
