Brazilian Woman Gives Birth to Conjoined Twin With Two Heads Attached to a Single Body
A Brazilian woman has given birth to a conjoined twin with two heads attached to a single body, leaving doctors with a major dilemma as both the heads are functioning properly.
Maria de Nazare gave birth to the baby at a hospital in Anjas in northern Brazil. The baby has two heads and two backbones but only one heart. The doctors revealed that all the organs are functioning properly and admitted that they are not sure whether they can safely operate on the baby.

The conjoined twins have been named Jesus and Emanuel and Dr Neila Dahas, who is handling the treatment of the baby, said that they will not be able to separate the heads since both are connected to a single set of organs.

“What we know statistically is that the children who undergo surgery and survive are the children who have less organs in common”, she said.
