The Ideal Foundation, a well-known NGO working for the cause of the blind in the country has released a Braille calendar.

More than 45,000 calendars have been printed in various languages and many of them have been distributed free.

"We have done it in 12 languages and 40,000 calendars have been distributed throughout India. In Karnataka 5,000 to 7,000 calendars have been distributed through various sources," said P.K. Paul, founder of the Ideal Foundation.

He opined that the calendar is particularly useful for the students and working people.

The calendar also mentions the special holidays and festivals.

"Everything has been mentioned in this calendar like dates and festival, days. It is very useful to us because earlier we had to depend on other people," said Pasha, designer of the calendar.

The most interesting fact is that calendar has been designed by a blind person.
