Bollywood Film Mobile Game Launched To Woo Movie Buffs

A mobile game based on upcoming Bollywood film 'Dev D' is all set to hook the movie buffs.

Inspired by 'Dev D', a film based on 'Devdas', the game would enable the enthusiasts to don the persona of Dev in the virtual world, the lead protagonist of the film and play the game.

The game launched for general masses would focus mainly on the youth in the age group of 18 to 28 years.

"Every person would be able to relate himself or herself with this game and would be able to play the game by donning the persona of Dev," said Mahi Gill, one of the actors of the film.

"Today's audience will be able to relate with the film as it is very realistic film. The characters are very real," Gill added.

'Dev D' is about a rich boy and his transition from self-pity to self-discovery.

Directed by Anurag Kashyap, the film is also a realistic take on modern day romance.

The filmmakers have set the incidents and characters of the original "Devdas" in contemporary times, but have retained the intrinsic essence of the novel.

Sarat Chandra Chatterjee wrote the original novel in Bengali in the early 20th century.

The film is expected to be released in February.
