British singer slams government for ignoring veteransBritish singer James Blunt has criticised his government for not doing enough to help injured army veterans.
Blunt slammed Prime Minister Gordon Brown for not providing enough funding for soldiers injured in war, reports contactmusic.com.
He said: "The government have a record of not providing adequate funds for equipment or care for soldiers who don't come back in one piece. We ask a lot of our soldiers, sailors and airmen -- but at the same time they get less and less."
"We often talk about whether we should be in Iraq and Afghanistan but forget what it means for the men and women actually doing it. They are just doing their job -- any job the country sends them on," he added.
