British reality TV star Jade Goody has revealed that the Celebrity Big Brother racial row made her think about committing suicide.
The 25-year-old, who came under fire after she made racist remarks against Indian actress Shilpa Shetty on the UK show, said that she went into depression and had to be kept on suicide watch so that she wouldn't harm herself.
"I had bad depression. I was on sleeping pills and on suicide watch," the Sun quoted Goody, as saying.
However, Goody added that she quickly coped with the situation for the sake of her kids.
"It's the worst thing a mother can say, 'There's no hope'. But I snapped out of that quickly because I've got kids and they are my life," she added.
The mum of two, who recently suffered a miscarriage, has been struggling to find work after the row in the beginning of this year.
Goody said that she has 'mortgage and a few other bills to be paid'.
"I'm not doing this to be back in magazines or on TV. But I've got a mortgage and bills to be paid," she added.
