Aerobic exercise may score more points than resistance training in melting fat on the belly, which is unsightly as well as detrimental to health.

Belly fat is bad and has been associated with many health risks such as heart disease and diabetes.

A recent study from Duke University Medical Center has pointed out that the best way to knock off belly fat is to engage in aerobic exercise like jogging, cycling, running, skipping and rowing that improves cardiovascular activity and oxygen levels in the body. Resistance training may not be as effective in trimming the fat around the belly.
