An inspection was carried by food safety officers at the premises in October following a complaint from a customer about unhygienic surroundings and mouse droppings in the premises. They also found dead and alive beetle larvae.

The Olimpios takeaway was closed for three days after Edinburgh Scientific Service confirmed that larvae had been cooked at the takeaway.
