Basil Could Fight Anti-aging, Study Says
Researchers from the Poona College of Pharmacy, Maharashtra have found in a new study that basil protects against harmful molecules and damage caused by some free radicals. It could be useful in fighting aging.

The study says anti-oxidant and anti-ageing properties are present in basil.

"The study validates the traditional use of herb as a youth-promoting substance in the Ayurvedic system of medicine. It also helps describe how the herb acts at a cellular level," said Dr Shinde from the college.
