Eating apples everyday has been shown to lower the cholesterol
levels and help in weight reduction in older women.
The study which was conducted by the Florida State University
has seen that post-menopausal females who ate a dried apple every day saw their
levels of LDL (bad cholesterol) reduced by 23% within 6-months, while HDL (good
cholesterol) is spiked by 4%. Also it aided in weight loss (about 3.3pounds)
because the calorie intake was just 240 calories.
