A team of researchers in US have found that children who do not attend school regularly are often victims of psychiatric problems.

Students who are victims of mental health symptoms like anxiety and depression happened to be absent for more school days during the course of a year, the study showed.

Frequent absenteeism among students must be evaluated by specialists for underlying causes, the study suggests.
