 45-Year-Old AIIMS Staffer Succumbs to Dengue, Death Toll Rises to 3
The national capital, Delhi, has witnessed 1,259 dengue cases as on September 5, 2015. A 45-year-old staffer of All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS) has succumbed to dengue on Thursday, September 10, 2015, taking the toll due to the disease to three this year.
Balwan, a resident of west Delhi who was working as an attendant in the AIIMS director's office, was admitted to the hospital on September 3, 2015, following severe fever and vomiting. An AIIMS doctor confirmed that the patient was suffering from dengue.

The doctor said, "Initially, he had come with multiple organ dysfunction syndrome (MODS), secondary to dengue. But two days ago, he tested for dengue also. Though he was in the ICU, his condition deteriorated and he succumbed to the disease today (Thursday) morning."
