About 4600 students took part in the feat and participated in a rally to sensitise people about the advantages of pursuing an eco-friendly way of life.

Nanthini, a student, said: "We are gathered here to create the Limca record and we have created 4000 paper bags just to (make) aware the people about the illness of plastics. We made these because to create a Limca record and now we are going to conduct a rally about this thing and this is to (make) aware people to use paper bags instead of plastic bags."
