The system uses cone beam CT technology to produce high-resolution 3D visualization of breast tissue without compression and is an alternative to mammography.

A huge disadvantage of mammography is compression That last bit is a big advantage not only for women going through the procedure, but also for the technologists that have to apply pain daily to innocent victims for their own good.

The patient lies in a prone position, with the breast placed inside the imaging well. The breast simply maintaining its natural shape and there isn't any kind of suction used.

For safety measures, there is a transparent film separating the breast from the machinery below. The biopsy bracket enables the system to use guided biopsy procedures, offering high precision 3D needle navigation.
