32-Year-Old Woman Dies of Swine Flu in Mumbai, Toll Rises to 47
A 32-year-old woman succumbed to the H1N1 virus, taking the death toll in Mumbai to 47.
According to the Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation (BMC) epidemic cell, the woman from Trombay is the latest swine flu patient to succumb to the H1N1 virus in the city. Nine H1N1 positive patients are being treated across city hospitals. The total number of swine flu patients being treated across the city has touched 1814 in the span of three month.

The 32-year-old Trombay resident was admitted to Inlaks hospital on March 27. She was shifted to Terna hospital the next day. She was again moved to Navi Mumbai Municipal Corporation (NMMC) hospital on March 29 and later was shifted to Kasturba Hospital the very next day. The patient died on March 1, due to acute respiratory distress syndrome along with pneumonia.
