In what is a freak incident, a 30-year-old woman swallowed a butter knife while joking with her friends.
The woman in question had a history of bulimia and was showing off to her friends that she no longer had a gag reflex.

Keeping her mouth wide open and dangling a knife, she laughed unexpectedly over something her friend said, and in slid the knife into her esophagus.
Doctors performed an endoscopy. Later the knife was successfully removed without any serious injury.
