Mid-day meals are provided at all government run schools across the country. 30 children from classes four to eight fell ill after having their mid-day meal at a state-run school in West Bengal's Burdwan district on Monday, September 14, 2015, revealed an official.
The students started complaining of giddiness and nausea. They were taken to the Burdwan Medical College and Hospital.
A hospital official said, "Thirty children were admitted today (Monday) after consuming mid-day meal. Many of them vomited. They are all stable now."
