26-hour Aerobics Marathon in Hyderabad

A fitness trainer from India Dinaz Vervatwala claims an entry in the Guinness Book of World Records for completing a 26-hour-long aerobics marathon

She achieved this feat on Sunday with her trainee-associates.

Vervatwala already has etched her name in the record books at the national and Asian levels for lengthiest sessions of aerobics.

Starting on January 9, Vervatwala culminated the exercise for a record time of 26 hours. The well-known fitness trainer took stage with 700 volunteers who joined her on the stage before applauding audience who waved the Indian tricolour with pride.

Vervatwala credited her achievement to her family members and her fitness trainer Bhuvaneswari for the inspiration.

"I am really excited. My dream has come true and I am really grateful to God for giving me the strength. My team has really supported me and stood by me. I am really happy that it has happened," said Vervatwala.

Dinaz also mentioned that through her record-breaking and record-making feats, she wishes to relay the message to the society on the essence of fitness and remaining fit psycho-physically.

Former State Chief Minister N Chandra Babu Naidu and actor turned politician Chiranjeevi of the l Praja Rajyam party were among the present to witness the closing session of her prolonged aerobics.
